a narration of a moment

I am currently sitting in the public library using the internet, listening to an elderly woman mutter to herself how her husband better not forget to pick her up.

I would not be here if the internet at our apartment hadn't died. The manager said it should have been up today, but no luck there. so here I sit at the library doing online school work (and blogging). From my homework I've decided that Business and numbers don't get along very well.

This lady has been nervously pacing from the chair next to me to the courtesy phone and calling her husband every 5 minutes. It started snowing again and I'm guessing from her overly vocal mutterings that she REALLY doesn't want to be stranded here. I don't blame her but i usually rant like that INSIDE my head.

Oh wow, She just told the librarians that she is going to brave the weather and leave without her husband. either she doesn't trust her spouse at all or she is an overly anxious person. Good Luck random rambling lady!

jake, life is story

my current obsessions...

once upon a time there was a book. while searching the shelves for other peoples holds i stumbled upon a wonderful thing. this wonderful thing was a book. a book that i had been eying for weeks {ever since i had prepared it to circulate there at the library} but alas had never checked out or put it on hold because there was too long a line of people waiting for it and i simply did not have any time to make these wonderful creations that this book had inside. but as luck would have it, the one weekend where i had decided that i would devote to sewing and craft making.... lo and behold i find the book on the shelf, just waiting for me to happen upon it and take it home! yay! you are all wondering what book this might be. lucky for you i'm about to tell you! it is called sew liberated {you can go to the wonderful website with even more great things here}. its cute, it has the most wonderful projects inside, and someday i will make all of these projects namely:

• the clock {pictured below ; pg.37}
• the 'teacup corset apron' {pictured below ; pg.19}
• the 'jersey garden skirt' {pg.55}
• the 'bird in hand laptop bag' {pg.49}

and . . . . .

• the 'baby's first book' {pg.95}

but at the moment i am making the most wonderful thing ever !!!

Jake and i went shopping yesterday for the fabric

{which is fantastic}

and on our way home i convinced Jake to stop by this cool lookin' place called 'The Antique Mall'. this place is wonderful. if you are ever in want of old cool stuff. go there. when we have a house, i'm shopping there for some cool decor and furniture. Sooo... if you are ever in Logan and want something to do. go to 'The Antique Mall' its at the intersection that splits on two on main street

twilight and signatures

ok, so i (kylee) work at the logan city library. i work at the circulation desk, do the pick list twice a week and process books in the back. the other day i was able to process stepahie meyer's new book 'the short second life of bree tanner'. anyone who knows me knows that i am obsessed with twilight. i love those books! really truely. anyways, the book is only like a hundred or so pages wich means i could finish it in an hour or two. it was SOOOO tempting not to take it and read it on my break,or take it home for the night. especially since i'm like number 52 on the waiting list at the library, meaning i'll get it in a few months.i didn't take it in hopes that i'll get it for my birthday in a month :D ::hint hint::

i am officially a WOOD now. as of a few days ago. whoo hoo! i've been told my signature was not readable by my family and so with this new name i decided to come up with an amazing signature. this requires time, practice and dedication. i went to this free font site http://www.dafont.com/ and picked out some cute fonts that would work for a signature. oh ya. then i typed out kylee wood in each font, picked the letters that i liked best and then put my signature together. i highly recomend this. it makes for a freaking amazing signature. :D
