A Ketchup Post

It has been many moons since the last time i wrote to the world of followers out there just what was on my mind. So this post will help me 'ketchup' with all we've missed in the last while.
Kylee and I had a great trip to Price, Utah to visit her Grandparents and sew some things. Now in all honesty I heard we we're going to Price and thought I was in for long naps and staring at sewing patterns. Luckily there is something absolutely amazing just one block away from Grandma and Grandpa's house, The Dinosaur Museum! Is there anything more "Aw" inspiring than seeing bones that belonged to animals that roamed the earth over 65 million years ago? to top it all off they even have and little crocodile pool with big gold fish inside it swimming around. So ya, that was pretty cool. Kylee and I also descovered something pretty amazing about the newer models of Ford's car "Taurus." They have an anti-Mob latch in the trunk. It comes with a diagram to show just how to skip as you exit the trunk.
On the way home we went to my friend Amanda's wedding reception. She and I have been friends since we'd kick each other under the table in primary. It made me and Kylee so happy to see her and Chae look so happy together.
Meanwhile back at Home base in logan our plants have been growning very impressively. but that could be from the lack of sun they recieve each day. Everything is about 2 1/2 feet tall and still skinny as sprouts. Gratefully our peas have begun to blossum and we even have some pods that are an inch long already. Okay, so i'm bragging just a bit but with the weather we've had this year the fact that anything has come out of the ground is a miracle.

thanks for 'ketchup'ing with me, i hope you 'Relish'ed it.

My Current Desktop Background

This is my current Desktop background. I love how adorable it looks!
Another great thing about it is that the picture in the middle can be changed out anytime I feel like it.
Which is often :)

Ring around the Rosie

I found these adorable buttons at JoAnn's a few weeks ago that I thought would make great rings!

I just clipped off the backs so it didn't have the weird knobby button back,
twisted some wire around
and then super glued them together!
It's super easy and they turn out way cute :)

This is the light pink rose ring...

And this is the dark pink rose ring...

I LOVE my new rings!

My current project...

I'm working on sewing me a pencil skirt!
I eventually want to make this skirt...

Go here to find out how to make it :)

In order to make this skirt you need a pattern or a skirt to use as a pattern.
Since I had a pattern I figured I would try it out first on some cheap fabric instead of some nice lace and satin.

Anyways, here it is...

It even has a cool slit thing in the back. A bit tricky to figure out but quite cool looking when you do!

I can't wait till its done so I can wear it!

Sew Sweet

I made one of the skirts I told you about :)

This one is called the Party Skirt.
If you want to make it just go here. The tutorial makes this easy skirt even easier.

You can wear it on top of your shirt or underneath :) The bow is removable.
Such a flexible skirt! I love it!

Meet Hermes

Hermes is our previous neighbors cat.
Our neighbor recently moved and left him behind. {He ran away}
He was our outside pet for about 2 weeks, until his owner came back for him.
There were some good and bad things about this situation.
I found out that I was allergic to cats.
I found out how much I dislike cats.
I found that I like having something depend on me and keep me company.
