Photo time

We had some time to kill before dinner and the play we were seeing with Jake's fellow employees last night so we went on a walk. We came across this yellow lighthouse and couldn't pass up the picture opportunity.

They are amazing and quite funny! We loved Jaunito Bandito and the gang. 

So you think you're smarter than a rat.

One benefit to being in the Psychology program is that you get to train rats. I was assigned to work with rat #1 of the USU psych lab. His name is Eugene and he is a very smart rat in some ways and very a stupid one in others.
We're supposed to teach these rats do do a trick and then to only do the trick when a flash light is lit in their training cell. Eugene learned really fast that he was supposed to go through the hoop and look up in order to get his little treat but sometimes he gets frustrated and goes for the more the more feral approach.
Yesterday he was doing great until he noticed my hand was holding the flash light over his cell. He thought in his head "hmm, flashlight=food, bite flashlight!" unfortunately my hand was infront of the flash light and that is what his little yellow teeth caught hold of. I admit it hurt and it bled a bit but what really shocked me was how my hand looked after riding my bake to work.
I don't get queezy at the sight of blood but apparently i can't stand the smell of the iron in it. I guess I would fail miserably as a vampire.

Jake, don't bit the hand that feeds you.

SHORT hair!

And when I say short I mean short. 

Its an A-line so as it goes back it gets well....shorter. They had to shave my neck.

I LOVE IT!

2010 Recap { May - December }

The last half of our year....

Jake and I were married in the Timpanogos Temple on May 15. It was a perfect day!

It was a wonderful start on our forever!

Our beautiful reception!

We went on a cruise to Mexico on our honeymoon! It was Amazing!

We went camping with our friends Donnie and Jessica!

Donnie taught Jake and I to fly-fish!

We had a fun summer, just relaxing and playing!

We spent the Fourth of July with both of our families! Jake also ran the Provo Freedom Run that morning!

He did AMAZING!

I turned 20 this year!!!!!

The Wood family reunion was a blast! It was fun to get to know Jake's family better!

Jake turned 23 this year!!!!

I cut my hair short this year! I love it!!!

We had fun carving pumpkins and going to the pumpkin walk! 

Jake made our six month anniversary absolutely wonderful! He set up a 

candlelit lunch from Chili's in our front room.

2010 Recap { January - April }

A lot happened during 2010,

so here is an overview of the first half of our year!

Jake and I had a chance to go to an Institute formal dance in Logan at the beginning of the year. 

It was fun to get all dressed up and dance the night away!

I had the most wonderful roommates this past year!!! Elizabeth, Liz, and Melissa! I had so much fun with them and I am grateful that I was able to live with such wonderful girls!

2. Cake stands!!!! They are the most adorable things! Someday I shall find the perfect cake stand :)
3. This chair.... Louis Ghost Chair. It pretty much rocks. I would LOVE to have one someday.
4. These outdoor lamps are GREAT! When we have our house I would LOVE to have these on our deck.
5. My current quote of the day, "You can do anything, but not everything"
6.LOVE this dress. First because its YELLOW! and second because it is absolutely GORGEOUS!
7. Jake is of course a favorite, but i also love this picture! Plus the program that allowed for a nice and easy way to create a yellow background.
8. These pumpkins, i'm in the process of re-creating these and i'll be sure to post when they're finished.
9. I love birds and this locket is SO CUTE!
10. Doesn't this sofa look so comfortable? Plus its YELLOW :)

For our thank-you cards we decided to to do a postcard kinda look with a picture of us holding a thank-you sign on one side and the note on the the other. They look really cute!

The pictures are adorable but i have no use for a picture that says thank you on it so 

i decided to play around and change it up :)
