NEW YORK!

Some of the things I have experienced in New York so far....

Driving is INSANE here. I think I almost died on my way from the airport to the hotel. They dart in and out of lanes super fast, turn corners super fast. There are lots of sudden speed up and stops. It is a very jerky and scary ride. I could never survive as a driver here. Thank goodness for walking and the subway. There are quite a few things that are freakin' awesome and close to our hotel! Yay! Pedestrians are a bit crazy too but I guess you have to be to survive in this busy city. The subway is awesome! It took me a bit to figure out how to work my metro card. But no worries, I've got it down now. :)  I love the look of the subways, all the mosaics and funky retro/old stuff. I'll have some pictures of them by the end of this week.

There is SO much to see! I hope I am able to fit in everything I want to do and still survive. At the moment I am running on about 2 and a half hours of sleep. Not very good/deep sleep either. Planes are not an ideal place to sleep. Goodness no. They even charge you for blankets and pillows now, so if you don't want to pay then you're stuck with your jacket as your pillow and blanket. And trying to sleep sitting up while trying not to end up on your neighbors shoulder or lap. Yeah, super hard. Thus explaining my lack of sleep.

New York is AMAZING though! I LOVE IT! There are cool things to see everywhere. So far I have seen: Ground Zero, Battery Park, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and some way cool buildings.
HAHAHAHA, Today while traveling somewhere on the subway this guy got on with his guitar and serenaded to the whole car of people. It pretty much rocked. Our own mini little concert. :)

Sorry if none of this made sense. I'm just jotting this down quickly before I go and do other things....like exploring or maybe even a nap. The hotel bed I'm sitting on looks better and better by the minute.
Picture coming soon to Facebook and here :)

I'm glad to hear you are having fun! It sounds like I would fit right in as a driver :) I can't wait to see all the photos. Take lots!
